Welcome to Disordered
Reason's Page of Chaos!
What is DISORDERED REASON you ask? A
quick look through the search engines on the net will yield an entry in the online
thesaurus describing all sorts of mental problems. All boiled down in one word it
describes "INSANITY". What they may have failed to find was a Southwest Michigan
band of the same name.

Why did we name our band after a variety of
mental problems? If you have ever played in a rock band you probably wouldn't even
ponder that question. For those of you that haven't let me just say that it seemed to suit
our purposes, and finding a name that five guys can agree on was a huge task in itself.
Originally formed circa 1992 from the ashes of
various local bands. Thus began our quest for musical immortality.
Most of the music we play is original stuff,
the rush that comes from creating something new is much greater than the cheap thrill
gained from copying another musicians work. Also to copy a musicians song accurately
involves much more than just playing the right notes. Music is a process of emotion, love,
hate, happiness, anger, sadness, joy, confusion, any combination of these and more.
Without actually feeling the exact combination of emotions that another musician was
feeling while they created or recorded a song, any attempt to copy their work would be no
more than a shallow interpretation. Not that it can't be done well. One of the marks
of a fine musician is their ability to transmit the emotions of their songs to the
audience. I guess thats our main goal, to transmit our own emotions rather than
rebroadcast someone elses.
To simply describe Disordered Reason as an
alternative, heavy metal, classical, new age, punk, fusion, jazz, easy listening, hard
rock band would be little more than a cheap music industry copout, attempting to
catigorize and file us for easy reference.
Potential groupies have been here.

Every effort will be made to get
this site running as smooth as creamed corn through a sick pig. Bare with us though, the
learning curve for Frontpage 98 has proven to be a little steeper than expected.
